Students for the School posts and house posts will be selected based on the 3rd term grade 6 aggregate marks.

Criteria for the selection of school posts and house posts

  • Final aggregate marks should be 75% and above
  • Should have good behavior
  • Should have leadership qualities and takes initiative
  • Should be punctual to school and take part in co-curricular activities
  • Should obtain pass marks from school interview (by a selected committee)

Students will be checked by

  • Based on their performance discipline and other activities
  • Written assignment
  • In prompt speech
  • By interview

Prizes

The following awards and prizes are given annually to students of grade 6 and 7.

General Proficiency Prize

This prize is awarded to the students who pass in all subjects and achieve an aggregate average mark 85% and above.

Class Prize

This prize is awarded to the student with the highest aggregate average mark in each class. On the event an expatriate student merits this prize, the best local student also will get the prize.

Class Progress Prize

This prize is awarded to the students who pass in all subjects and who has shown the highest progressive improvement successively from term to term in the average marks achieved.

Subject Prize

This prize is awarded to the student who achieves the highest marks of not less than 85% selected from the grade and not from each class.

Honor Listed

This prize is given to all the students who pass in all the subjects and achieves an average mark 90% and above.

Discipline Award

This prize is awarded to a student from each class with the best discipline.

Best Bandsman Award

This award is given to the bandsman with the best overall performance and academic achievement.

Best Cadet

This award is given to the Cadet with the best overall performance and academic achievement.

Cadet with the Best Academic Performance

This award is given to the Cadet with the best academic performance.

Best Scout

This award is given to the Scout with the best overall performance and academic achievement.

Scout with the Best Academic Performance

This award is given to the Scout with the best academic performance.

Best Girl Guide

This award is given to the Girl Guide with the best overall performance and academic achievement.

Girl Guide with the Best Academic Performance

This award is given to the Girl Guide with the best academic performance.

National or International Awards

This prize is given to any student from any grade who has obtained the first prize from any international or national competition.

Best All Round Student

Only students of grade 7 will be eligible for the award.

This prize is given to the student who is selected from a Committee comprising of some members of the School Board, PTA, Senior Management of the School, Senior Teachers and Staff of the school.

Areas of performance and points awarded

Points will be given for performance in the following areas :

  1. Academic 60%
  2. Discipline and character 20%
  3. Responsibility and leadership
  4. Sports and extra curricular activities 10%
  • The students who scores the best marks will be awarded the Best All Round student of the year.
